Host Institutions

The Come to Believe model exists as an academic unit (a two-year college) within a larger four-year university. Students attend classes on the campus of the host institution and benefit from the resources (recreation center, library, academic supports) of the larger university.

Current hosts

Arrupe College at Loyola University, Chicago, IL, opened Fall 2015

Dougherty Family College at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, opened Fall 2017

Seton College at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, NY, opening Fall 2024

Founder’s College at Butler University, Indianapolis, IN, opening Fall 2025

Criteria

CTB works to identify and engage potential host institutions that have the capacity to host the CTB model successfully. Our current fit criteria for potential hosts includes:

  • Alignment with social justice values.

  • Academic reputation and standing.

  • Location and access for commuter students in target income demographic.

  • Access to need-based state aid funding

  • Fundraising capacity and financial sustainability

  • Commitment from institutional leadership
