Chief Operations Officer

Sam Adams started his career in Detroit, Michigan as a Teach for America Corps Member, where he taught upper elementary and middle school English.

Building on his experiences in the classroom, Sam worked in the central office of Promise Schools, a non-profit charter management organization in Detroit, developing network-wide systems for college readiness, non-cognitive development, family engagement, and out-of-school-time programming.

While attending graduate school, Sam worked at the UChicago Consortium on School Research, focusing on equitable and holistic development in educational settings, and Opportunity Starts at Home, an advocacy campaign promoting housing policies that benefit households with the lowest incomes.

Sam is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and the University of Chicago (MPP).
